I have sent the following email to just about every parent and grandparent I know :-)
As some of you are aware, I try PASSIONATELY not to encourage sugar intake with Caleb. Having read up on it, heard stories from friends/ family with children grown and the difficulties they had with A.D.D. and the like, it's not a road I care to saunter down with Caleb. Where possible, I'd like to offer my son the very best that I possibly can and inject the best possible foods into his system that his brain might grow and either make him a Rocket Scientist one day or a well educated Car Mechanic (one can never chose for their children). However, this has been quite difficult to follow through on with all the crap that is sold on our markets. Then there was light. Yesterday, while stuck in traffic, Jean and I were parked next to a car advertising Caring Candies. At the drivers window was a further sticker saying 'Sugar Mommy' but between the Sugar and Mommy, an insert pointed above, saying 'Free'. Naturally I had to dash home and investigate and FINALLY I have found a possible solution. While I haven't been down to the store yet to investigate, I thought I would share it with you all anyway, since you too have children/ grandchildren and together we can assist our children's growth!

Ek is 'n diabeet en kon nog nooit lekker diabetiese lekkers kry wat ek van hou nie. My vriendin het by een van haar kolegas by die werk 'n bietjie van julle bonbons gekry en vir my gebring om te proe. Ek was eers skepties om te proe, maar tot my verbasing was dit baie lekker en ek kon net nie ophou nie. Dit was die eerste keer dat ek lekkers eet met soveel geur, kleur en geen aaklige nasmaak nie. Baie dankie vir julle lekker lekkers. Ek sal graag meer van julle produkte wil probeer.

The best sweets available, i especially like the chocolates. dont leave a nasty taste in ur mouth. I will definitely recommend them to my friends!!

Dear Denise, I am in CHOCOLATE HEAVEN. I have in the space of 5 minutes eaten a whole bar with my coffee. IT IS HEAVENLY. You can taste the chocolate. It is also quite sweet so one bar is enough especially if you not used to sweet things – I don’t eat sweet things at all except xylitol in baking. It does a taste a little different I think from “normal” chocolate because it is sweeter. It is also quite filling. Other than that the amazing thing for me is that there is no different. My daughter Olivia with think it is Christmas when she gets one as she has not been allowed chocolate for 2 months. So now I can happily give her some and she can feel normal and she can share her chocolate treats with her friends because they won’t know the difference. Thank you. Thank you so much and I look forward to many more happy chocolate (and others) purchases.
