LIQUORICE
We developed our Liquorice candies when I was pregnant with our second child. I was fainting from low blood pressure and our Homeopath told me to eat lots of liquorice. As "regular" liquorice is made with wheat flour and I am sensitive to it, I couldn't so we used pure liquorice root in our candies and voila...no more fainting spells. Liquorice also helps cleanse the colon, support lung health, and promotes adrenal gland function. Liquorice is a common ingredient in throat-soothing herbal supplements. The most common medicinal use for Liquorice Root is for treating upper respiratory ailments including coughs, hoarseness, sore throat, and bronchitis.
